Cataract Surgery

Cataract Surgery is a transformative procedure that involves the meticulous removal of a cataract, the clouding of the eye's natural lens. It is the most common cause for vision loss in India. Analogous to a camera, the eye's lens, composed of water and proteins, undergoes a natural breakdown, resulting in cloudiness and yellowing when cataracts form. While aging is a prevalent factor, cataracts can also arise from medical conditions, medications, injuries, or previous eye surgeries.
Cataract Surgery

With the latest technological advancements, cataract surgeries are performed with utmost precision and accuracy, using incisions as small as 2.8mm or even less. The implantation of foldable intraocular lenses (IOLs) like Monofocal / Toric / EDOF / Multifocal/ Trifocal Premium IOLs and Phacoemulsification / Phaco / Microphaco / MICS surgery have made cataract surgery safer and faster. Presently most of these cataract surgeries are possible without eye injection. Dr. Swarup Kumar Roy is an expert in performing intricate cataract surgeries like PPC Cataracts, Uveitic Cataracts, Subluxated Cataracts, Traumatic Cataracts, and Cataracts with floppy Iris or Small Pupil.
